The Commissioning Process:

Commissioning art is a collaborative process between the artist and the client.

After the first contact, it is best to have an initial meeting to outline the project and sketch through ideas and concepts.

This will explore subject, colour, locations and logistics, as well as size and budget parameters.

Murals can be executed directly onto the walls or can be executed off-site in the studio onto canvas, then later adhered to the wall in a process called marouflage.

Painted Faux Tapestries are painted in the studio, where they are sewn together with a lining and interlined before completion.
